Why Key4 Networking?
Scenario 1
A company has 11 computers - 1 of them a server, installed with
Microsoft® Small
Business Server® 2000.
The system has been set-up to handle the
companys basic requirements by someone in-house, with a little
help from an external I.T. company to troubleshoot specific problems.
Most information is stored on the server in shared directories,
and users store files in their My Documents files.
The company has ADSL installed, and users access email individually
connecting periodically to an Internet Service provider through
the server.
When the machines were purchased, they came with virus software
installed, and this has been configured to update regularly.
One of the workstations also has Sage Line 50® installed for accounting,
which was set-up in-house.
Every night backups are scheduled on the server, with the tape changed
daily and backup logs checked daily for success.
