Design Policy
Design is fundamental in the way we communicate. Any design will establish how
easy something is to use, how effective it is, whom it is accessible to, but
most importantly an impression.
All of Key4’s designs are created with this in mind.
Through careful use of colour, layout and fonts, we achieve designs that are
visually appealing, yet always simplistic and efficient in functionality.
We do not simply design something to fill a page; we design something when there
is purpose to, whether it is improving the user interface of a software
program, designing a poster, banner, web site, or an entire companies image.
All our designs have common characteristics:
-
Effective use of complimenting colours and contrasts
-
Simple and professional outlook
-
Accessible on all required platforms and medias
-
Consistent design & branding of associated material
-
Impressive: A combination of raw talent and knowing when to use it
Example:
Key4 web site navigation is aided by using 4 different colours for identifying
different areas of the web site. Every page within the site is based on a
single template, yet effective use of CSS Styles and dynamic control through
Business Central changes the colour of the page depending on the area of the
web site.
The site navigation is greatly aided by easily being able to identify which area
of the site you are in. To view the result, compare the 3 other colours to the
green colour on this page:
What does this mean for me?
When you commission design work with us, we follow these principals as standard.
We communicate with you, and ask strategic questions to understand your
requirements, and once we do, we create a unique and targeted solution based on
these principals.
