Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Business Stationery Design Package?

The Business Stationery Design Package delivers high-quality and professional letterheads, compliments slips and business cards to be used for your company's communications requirements

Do I already need a logo?

Yes. The business stationery package requires that you already have a suitable logo. If you do not already have a logo, then you should first look at the logo design package.

If you have a logo that you are happy with, it needs to be suitable for use on a commercial printer. Key4 will be happy to ascertain this for you if you provide any material you currently have.

I have a logo, how do I know if it is suitable to use in my stationery?

You can send us any existing material that you may have, and we will be happy to tell you whether it can be used in your stationery, as well as discussing the potential design before we begin.

I have a logo I am happy with, but it is not good enough quality (format, resolution, etc.) to use in my stationery on a commercial printer?

This means that the logo needs to be redesigned. It would depend on how complex the logo is as to how long this would take.

This would not take as much time as designing a new logo, and in most cases this would be a few hours of design time.

If you have an existing logo that is not suitable then we will be happy to provide any costs prior to any order being placed to reproduce the logo in a suitable format and resolution.

How Long Until My Stationery is ready?

The whole process should take approximately 2-3 weeks. Whilst the actual production of your stationery may be quicker than this, we allow for existing work that might be underway at the time of your order, and also allow time for you to review any designs, and offer any input and ideas as to your requirements.

For urgent requirements we may be able to speed up the process, although this will obviously require responsive feedback to be provided as to the design and acceptance at various stages.

What happens if I don’t like my stationery?

Throughout the process we try and obtain as much information from you as possible. Starting with the Business Stationery Survey we are trying to get an idea of what you are after and how you imagine the completed stationery.

We work with you from the beginning of the design to the end, asking you to review your stationery and provide feedback and direction where required.

We also require signed confirmation of your finalised design on your selected paper before we will proceed to the print stage.

You will normally have 4 or 5 opportunities to raise any concerns you may have, so you should be well aware of the end product by the time it arrives, and ultimatly never get to the point where you don't like your stationery.

I know what I want… I can’t explain it…?

No problem! This is quite common.

The Business Stationery Survey asks ‘loaded’ questions. Your answers give our designers specific information and an insight into how you imagine your stationery.

In addition, we encourage you to make your own sketches if you have any ideas for your stationery. Almost all things we design begin on paper not computer, and what you may see as messy notes, we may see a layout and style that you are trying to create.

At any point, you will also be able to chat and liase with a member of the design team, if you feel you can better put across your requirements in conversation.

Also by being able to monitor your design at each stage, you can offer ‘progressive’ input. Almost everyone finds it easier to show what he or she means from existing work than explain what he or she wants from scratch.

How do I know what paper to choose?

Out of the 1000’s of papers available, there will be a shortlist of suitable papers.

The design you require will rule out some papers, for example dark or heavy colours will rule out a cream coloured paper.

Price may rule out others, for example, thicker paper is more expensive, as well as complex grained paper and watermarks.

Based on your design we will be able to recommend some papers, and if you are not sure, we can send you paper samples of your short listed papers.

For more in depth information about paper visit the Conqueror web site.

What about my future requirements?

It is likely that you will require further stationery in the future when you are running low, or you may require increased stationery for activities such as targeted mail shots, etc.

In addition, as new employees join, or existing employees roles change you will probably have a requirement for personalised business cards.

Your Key4 Business Central account records all your previous stationery orders, and allows you to simply re-order more stationery with a few simple clicks.

You can also simply reorder further business cards from your Business Central account.

Because we already have your set-up to hand, re-orders are obviously less expensive than the initial design, and will be delivered within 5 working days.

What about new employees and their business cards?

You can easily request personalised business cards in your existing style through your Key4 Business Central account. Additional business cards are delivered within 5 working days.

I want everything - across all platforms - to look consistent! How?

Our dynamic services can cater for almost every requirement. Business Stationery is common to almost all companies; Key4 however provides a wide range of design skills across many different platforms to provide a valuable resource to your company that can respond to your requirements.

We are not limited to purely business stationery, but also any company document templates (such as invoices and accounting documents), posters, banners, brochures, presentations, animations and demonstrations, all in a range of outputs, such as commercial print, multimedia, CD, Intranets and the Internet.

Our Project Management skills, also allow us to look at your entire requirement and provide innovative solutions across your entire platform.

For example, when initially designing www.disabledunited.com, as well as providing the web site design and development, we also provided the logo, stationery, several posters, banner adverts, online Macromedia Flash demonstration, as well as providing the IT equipment and set-up for a disability exhibition with a live Internet connection.

Because of our extended interests in our customer’s success, we also attended the exhibition to talk directly to the users of the site and listen to their feedback and suggestions for improvement.

What do I use my stationery for?

Your image is important. It makes an impression – whether good, bad or neutral.

Your image should make your customers feel comfortable with your company. Apart from your stationery being clear and easy to look at it should also be consistent.

Whenever you send out any correspondence, whether it be a letter, quotation, invoice or other kind of document, where possible it should be sent on your company’s letterhead and also have a compliments slip included.

To be consistent throughout, if you send out material that is not printed on the companies stationery, then always send a simple covering letter explaining what is included.

It may seem completely pointless, but you are maintaining a consistent image, and your customer is making a visual association that is strengthened every time they receive information from you.

This doesn’t only apply to conventional post, but also emails and your web site.

I want to show off… can you help?

Absolutely!

When you have something a little more complicated, or you are looking to add something special or unique to your stationery or your company we take it as a challenge.

Many people can design something that looks nice; it takes natural artistic creativity and a high technical ability to make something that is on a different level. We are proud of the fact that we have both.

I like the look of your stationery package… but it doesn’t look enough for what I am after?

No problem!

Simply tell us what you would like and we will get back to you promptly with your options.
